The summer school will take place in Nancy (France), at the Université de Lorraine, at the École des Mines de Nancy, Artem campus
Getting to Nancy
The main station is Nancy Gare (Nancy Ville railway station)
By train: Nancy is easily accessible via high-speed train (TGV):
- Paris -> Nancy (direct from Gare de l’Est)
- Strasbourg -> Nancy
- Luxembourg -> Nancy
By plane: Several airports provide access to Nancy:
- Metz-Nancy-Lorraine Airport (ETZ)
- Luxembourg Airport (LUX)
- Paris airports (CDG / Orly) – with train connection to Nancy
From Paris airports, the easiest option is to take a train from Paris Gare de l’Est to Nancy.
Local transport
Ecole des Mines - Nancy / Campus Artem
- Tram line T1 (direction Vandoeuvre CHU Brabois)
- Stop: Artem – Blandan – Thermal
- Travel time: 15-20 minutes
Bus connections also serve the campus.
- Bus 11 (direction Vandœuvre Roberval)
- Stop: Artem
Accommodation
Participants may choose to stay either:
- In Nancy city centre (recommended for restaurants, cafés, and evening activities)
- Near the campus in Villers-lès-Nancy / Vandœuvre-lès-Nancy (closer to the venue).
A list of recommended hotels will be provided. Options range from budget to mid-range hotels.
Food service
Meals will be organised as part of the summer school:
- Coffee breaks will be provided during the day
- Lunches will be organised on-site
- Additional details (including any organised dinners) will be communicated to participants in advance
