Cybercriminology Summer School

This interdisciplinary summer school aims to bring together doctoral researchers, early-career scholars, advanced master’s students, and practitioners interested in the study of cybercrime, digital harms, and online criminal ecosystems.

The programme will explore key theoretical, methodological, and policy challenges in cybercriminology, drawing on perspectives from criminology, computer science, sociology, law, and cybersecurity studies.

Organizing Committee

Jean-Yves MARION

Professor of Computer Science at Université de Lorraine (LORIA)

Researcher in cybersecurity and malware analysis, his work focuses on malware ecosystems, reverse engineering, and offensive security. He is a member of the Institut Universitaire de France and former Director of LORIA (2013-2023).

Maíra NASSAU

Project Manager in Cybersecurity Research at University de Lorraine (LORIA)

She is involved in the coordination and development of interdisciplinary research projects in cybersecurity and cybercrime, contributing to the organisation and implementation of scientific initiatives such as the summer school.

Manon PAMAR

Postdoctoral Researcher at Université de Lorraine (LORIA)

Doctor in criminology from the Université de Montréal, her research examines undercover digital investigations into online child sexual abuse, with a particular focus on how trust is constructed, negotiated, and exploited within online criminal communities.

Yamina TADJEDDINE FOURNEYRON

Professor of Economics at Université de Lorraine (BETA)

Her research focuses on financial practices, legal and illegal economic circuits, and crypto-assets. She studies the socio-economic dynamics of financial systems and regularly contributes to public debates on monetary and financial issues.

Benoît DUPONT

Professor of Criminology at Université de Montréal

Canada Research Chair in Cyber-resilience, he leads the Human-Centric Cybersecurity Partnership (HC2P). His research focuses on cybercrime governance, prevention strategies, and the co-evolution of crime and technology. 

Abdessamad IMINE

Abdessamad Imine is Associate Professor HdR at Lorraine University.

His research focuses on privacy protection on social networks and large-scale databases.
He is currently working on analyzing cryptocurrency discussion platforms to describe how frauds are published, promoted, and mitigated by prevention strategies.
